Graham How
How Sound was formed in 2014 as an assembly of talented and dedicated musicians whom Graham How had enjoyed performing with in nightclubs and festivals throughout his career as a jazz trumpet player, producer, and electronica musician. Each complimented each other, encompassing a wide range of styles, contributing to the rich sound he was seeking. Working in Vancouver’s vibrant music scene, How’s versatile group plays an impressive selection of composed originals that encompass everything from downbeat tempos to energetic dance tracks, all with a sophisticated jazz, world music sensibility.
Over the years Graham has performed and shared the stage with The Wailers, Ani DiFranco, Colin James, Henry Small, The Odds, Long John Baldry, Nine Mile, and more. In addition Graham owned his own live sound company for ten years. In that time he mixed for artists like The Powder Blues Band, Alex Cuba, Jimmy Bowskill, Vinyl Ritchie, Mat the Alien, Long Walk Short Dock, Danko Jones, Strung Out, Cryptopsy, and more.
In 2018 Graham relocated back to his home of Vancouver after selling the live sound company, and now owns and operates How Sound Music. This new endeavour sees Graham creating a name for himself as How Sound, while continuing to work with a network of talented contributors.
